The Downtown bar Pink Shark, located at 203 N Presa St, San Antonio, TX 78205, is celebrating the expansion of its venue with the addition of a secret bar, accessible only with a special token, on the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd. Festivities will include 99-cent oysters, complimentary bites, and live music entertainment on both days.

From the minds of Picks Bar and up and coming Sore Loser, Jessica Marinez and Amber Hernandez’s vision of a 70s space with a modern twist has come to fruition.
We have worked in various bars over the last decade in downtown San Antonio and feel that we needed a lively space that offers a variety of entertainment options as well as elevated versions of classic cocktails that are approachable

Patrons can glide through the front bar and admire the eclectic furnishings until they reach an illuminated vending machine door. To enter the veiled backroom, guests must insert a special token in the vending machine slot. Tokens can be obtained by encountering the Pink Shark mascot who wanders the streets of downtown, or by knowing the password (the daily password is posted on the bar's Instagram story) and reiterating it to the door personnel. As one steps inside, the lights dim and the pulse quickens. The open space is adorned with chic decor and fun touches, including a shark-shaped disco ball and interactive tableside shot buttons featuring tequilas of the month.
Pink Shark will celebrate the launch of the new space the weekend of August 2nd & 3rd with several specials, DJs & live music acts. The lineup for each day are as follows:
Friday, August 2nd 3pm-6pm: .99 cent Oysters 3pm-8pm: Happy Hour 7pm-8pm: Complimentary Charcuterie & Bites (while supplies last) 5pm-9pm: DJ Miles in the Front Room 9:30pm-1:30am: Austin Boogie Crew, modern funk DJs that play soulful, synth-heavy, club-friendly music in the Back Room | Saturday, August 3rd 3pm-6pm: .99 cent Oysters 3pm-8pm: Happy Hour 7pm-8pm: Complimentary Charcuterie & Bites (while supplies last) 5pm-9pm: DJ Reg Cruz in the Front Room 9pm-2am: DJ Brian Kadir & DJ Switch Blade Dave in the Back Room |

With a full back bar featuring specialized cocktails separate from the front bar and snacks to enjoy, patrons can listen to weekly DJs and bands and even karaoke. Additionally, starting August 10th, there will be monthly Zodiac Parties every second Saturday of the month, featuring flash tattoos, tarot card readings, themed menus, and DJs.
