Lisa Wong, owner of local restaurants Rosarios and Acenar and founding partner of Go Rio Cruises, will be honored as a 2024 Trefoil Award honoree by the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas at the Trefoil Award Fundraising Luncheon on Thursday, September 26.
This prestigious recognition is part of the organization's annual celebration of women who have made significant contributions to the community and embody the core values and ideals of the Girl Scouts.
The Trefoil Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, outside of Girl Scout-related awards. This accolade places Lisa Wong alongside a distinguished list of past honorees, including Sally Cheever, Charline McCombs, Lila Cockrell, Esperanza Hope Andrade, Mary Rose Brown, and Leticia Van de Putte.
To commemorate the 2024 Centennial milestone, the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas are honoring not one, but three remarkable women: Mary Henrich, Jelynne Jamison, and Lisa Wong. These women embody the bravery, self-assurance, and integrity that the Girl Scouts aim to foster in their members.

Lisa Wong brings over 40 years of entrepreneurial expertise in the restaurant industry to the table, making her a culinary star in San Antonio. Her flavorful journey began with Lisa’s Mexican Restaurant (1981-1997), before opening the beloved-by-locals Rosario’s ComidaMex y Bar in 1992. Lisa added Acenar on the River Walk to her portfolio in 2005 as well as her role as a founding partner in Go Rio Cruises, which brings vibrant dining experiences to the historic Riverwalk with their charming barges and concessions.
Over the years Wong has participated in various events throughout the city contributing her time, resources, & community connections to foster relations and promote organizations that make a difference in the Alamo City.
The honor comes on the heels of Wong's announcement as the San Antonio's Restaurateur of the Year by the Texas Restaurant Association this past July.
The 2024 Trefoil Award Fundraising Luncheon will take place on Thursday, September 26 at the Marriot Rivercenter, located at 101 Bowie St. This event is an opportunity to not only celebrate these exceptional women but also to highlight a century of empowering female leaders in our community.
