The Listener’s Gallery, curated by sound artist and composer Pamela Martinez / Teletextile, is proud to present Feeling Tone, a groundbreaking group exhibition exploring sound and technology as pathways to connection. Featuring seven artists from across the United States, the exhibition runs from May 2 to May 31, 2025, at Mercury Project Contemporary Art Space, 538 Roosevelt Avenue, San Antonio, TX.
A Journey Through Sound and Connection
Feeling Tone delves into the intersections of sound, technology, and human experience, featuring a diverse lineup of artists who blend digital coding, sound sculptures, and interactive installations to create an environment of sonic exploration. The exhibition invites participants to engage with the interplay of virtual and physical connections in the digital age, reflecting on our relationships with sound, technology, and each other.
The title Feeling Tone borrows from mindfulness practices, referring to the subtle yet immediate qualities of an experience—pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral—that arise through our senses or thoughts. Through immersive works, visitors are invited to deepen their awareness of these fleeting sensations and explore the transformative power of sound.
