Located in San Antonio, Texas, Clementine is a neighborhood restaurant known for its warm hospitality, ingredient-driven menu, and dedication to sustainability, both in and out of the kitchen. Founded by Chefs John and Elise Russ, the restaurant is driven by a belief that the best food comes from the best environments, and that starts with taking care of people first.
“Clementine is an extension of our home—we often spend more time here than at home, and we want everyone—our guests and our team—to feel loved,” said Elise Russ. “That feeling of belonging shapes the experience, because when people are happy at work, they not only give our guests something special, but often choose to grow and stay with us for years. After growing up in a tough work culture that lionized long days, hypercritical feedback loops, and gruff attitudes, I was left wanting more for our industry,” added John Russ. “Why can’t we be better for ourselves, our staff, and our guests? Why not be the change you desire to see? That’s where we started—doing our best to create something different together.”
