Smash City, a Houston-based food truck brand offering all-halal smash burgers and bold late-night street food, will officially open its first location in Baton Rouge with a two-day grand opening celebration. The event will take place on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31 at 159 W. State Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, near the LSU campus.
The grand opening weekend will include free food, exclusive discounts, and an in-store giveaway for one year of free meals for one lucky guest.
The event will begin on Saturday, August 30, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m., followed by three hours of complimentary food for all guests from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. After the complimentary period ends, guests can enjoy 50% off all menu items from 2:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.
On Sunday, August 31, the celebration will continue with 50% off all food and beverages from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. the following morning.
"Opening our first location in Baton Rouge is a milestone we’ve been working toward for a long time,” said Fawaz Kaileh. “We’ve built Smash City to be more than just a food truck — it’s a brand focused on consistency, quality, and craveable flavors for all to enjoy.”

As part of the festivities, Smash City will host an in-store giveaway where one guest will receive free Smash City for an entire year. The prize includes one meal per week, up to a $20 value, for 52 weeks. To enter, guests must RSVP via Eventbrite and make an in-store purchase on either event day. Each RSVP and qualifying purchase will earn one entry into the giveaway. The winner will be announced on Smash City’s official Instagram account and contacted directly via email or phone.
