Four San Antonio Restaurants to Try During Culinaria Restaurant Weeks

SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 19, 2026) - Culinaria Restaurant Weeks is well underway, but there’s still plenty of time to get out and enjoy the limited-time menus and dining deals happening across San Antonio through August 29.

Participating restaurants Ácenar, Embers Wood Fired Restaurants, Maverick Texas Brasserie and Smashin Crab are serving specially priced menus that give diners an opportunity to explore everything from River Walk Tex-Mex and French-inspired cuisine to wood-fired favorites and Gulf Coast seafood.

Whether you’ve been meaning to try a new restaurant, revisit a favorite or simply take advantage of a great prix fixe offering, these four participating restaurants are serving up plenty of reasons to make dinner plans.

If a River Walk dinner is calling your name, Ácenar is offering a three-course dinner menu for $35 per person, available daily from 5 p.m. to close.

Guests may begin with cheese quesadillas or chicken flautas served with queso fresco and sour cream. Entrée selections include puerco and chile cascabel, enchiladas de mole or oyster tacos topped with charred pineapple, jalapeño honey mayo and cilantro. The meal concludes with a choice of cinnamon-spiked chocolate mousse cake or tres leches layered with sweet milks, cajeta, berries and melon pico.

Looking for a dinner made for sharing? Both Embers Wood Fired Restaurants locations will offer a $55 Dinner for Two menu during Culinaria Restaurant Weeks, giving guests a flexible way to build a shared meal around the restaurant’s wood-fired favorites, comfort classics and seafood selections. The menu includes one appetizer, two entrées and one dessert.

Guests can start with Embers Fries, Smoked Mozzarella or Fried Mushrooms before choosing two entrées from a wide-ranging lineup. Options include Ribs with Tenders or Shrimp, Chicken Fried Steak, the F.A.B Burger and an 8-ounce Ribeye with Shrimp, along with Wood-Fired Grilled Salmon, Salmon Florentine, Bourbon Glazed Salmon, all salmon salads and Parmesan Shrimp. Chicken & Broccoli and Hot Italian Pasta round out the entrée choices.

Dessert options include Made In House Cheesecake, Chocolate Ganache Cake or the Ultimate Brownie.

Maverick Texas Brasserie will present a French-inspired, multi-course dinner for $45 per person, available nightly from 5 to 9 p.m.

Dinner begins with freshly baked gougères, followed by a choice of summer gazpacho or baby romaine Caesar salad with brioche croutons, heirloom tomatoes and roasted garlic dressing.

Entrée selections include beef bourguignon with potatoes and lardons, lemon chicken Provençal with citrus beurre blanc and pommes purée, or pork schnitzel with lemon caper butter and double-cooked frites. Guests may add mushrooms for $5 or an egg for $4.

For dessert, diners may select honey almond butter cake or bananas Foster crème brûlée. Maverick Texas Brasserie is located at 710 S. St. Mary’s St. For more information or reservations, visit their website.

Smashin Crab will offer a three-course seafood dinner for $45 per person at its Alamo Ranch, Leon Valley and Stone Oak restaurants. The menu will be available daily throughout Restaurant Weeks, with walk-in service offered at each participating location.

Appetizer options include a choice of three favorites from calamari strips, fried pickles, hush puppies, jambalaya bites and boudin balls. Guests may also select six chargrilled Gulf Coast oysters topped with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese or six raw oysters served with house-made cocktail sauce.

Entrée selections include Catfish Atchafalaya with crawfish cream sauce and dirty rice, Cajun-spiced grilled redfish with vegetables and Trinity butter sauce, or a shrimp and snow crab cluster boil served with corn, potato and andouille sausage.
