Al Shami, an authentic Middle Eastern dining concept, is set to expand with the opening of its first Austin location. Located at 2718 Guadalupe St., the restaurant will make its official debut with a grand opening celebration on Friday, October 25, from 7 p.m. to 4 am.
Al Shami, with three successful locations in Houston, was born from a passion for sharing the authentic flavors of the Middle East. The brand has quickly become recognized for its bold flavors and welcoming hospitality. Celebrated by Chris Shepherd on his Best of Houston list, Al Shami is thrilled to bring its authentic Middle Eastern flavors and heritage to Austin.
The grand opening celebration begins with a ribbon-cutting at 7 p.m. Guests can look forward to a lively evening featuring live entertainment, special surprises for early arrivals, and exclusive promotions throughout the night, running until 4 a.m.
To officially kick off a beautiful relationship with Austinans, Al Shami will gift the first 50 guests in line with a free meal. The celebration continues with 50% off the entire menu for the rest of the evening. Additionally, guests can immerse themselves in Middle Eastern culture with a live performance by a traditional Syrian band.
Plus, every Monday through the end of November, guests can enjoy a special offer: buy two chicken shawarma sandwiches and get one free.
Highlighting the rich culinary traditions of the Levant, the menu features shareable family meals, vegetarian options, and a variety of traditional sides and beverages. Signature dishes include chicken and beef shawarma sandwiches, shamita sandwiches, and flavorful Turkish grill skewers such as adana kabab and beef tikka, all crafted to showcase the region’s bold and authentic flavors.
