Castle Hills neighborhood restaurant Clementine is thrilled to announce its October lineup of culinary events, including wine tastings, a spooktacular Halloween prix-fixe dinner and the return of community favorites.
WHAT
Slice Swap
Sweet-tooth enthusiasts are encouraged to bake their best cake and participate in Clementine’s Slice Swap on October 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This community event is perfect for bakers of all levels, from beginners to professionals.
To participate in the Slice Swap, guests must bring a whole cake to share. Attendees will have the chance to sample a variety of cakes, swap slices and take home a box filled with an assortment of treats. Guests are encouraged to bring their own carry-out boxes. This event is a fun way to meet fellow San Antonians and enjoy delicious cake, with coffee and wine available for purchase.
La Spinetta Wine Dinner
Clementine invites guests to an exclusive La Spinetta Wine Dinner on Wednesday, October 8, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The evening features a five-course set menu thoughtfully paired with selections from the renowned Piedmont estate, La Spinetta.
Wine offerings include Barbaresco, Barolo, Barbera and Moscato d’Asti. Seats for the dinner are limited and priced at $135 per person (plus tax and gratuity). The evening's menu is set. Reservations are encouraged and can be made via OpenTable HERE.
Patio & Pearls
The community-favorite event, Patio & Pearls, returns on Thursday, October 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Clementine’s breezy patio. This evening offers the perfect introduction to Clementine’s flavors for first-time guests and a beloved tradition for returning fans.
The night will feature live entertainment by Chris Guerrero, freshly shucked oysters and an extensive wine selection. Guests can additionally order dishes off the dinner menu. Patio & Pearls is the perfect opportunity for San Antonians to connect and network. There is no entry fee for this event. Guests are invited to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and soak in the vibrant patio vibes.
Friday Lunch: A Day in Mexico presented by Sous Chef Uri
Clementine’s very own sous chef, Uri, takes over Clementine’s Friday lunch on October 17. Rooted in Hispanic culture, Chef Uri guides guests through the bold flavors of Mexico. By blending his cultural heritage with Clementine’s approach to cuisine, guests are in for a one-of-a-kind, completely off-menu experience.
Attendees will enjoy a four-course meal, with the option to add a wine pairing for a more elevated experience. Reservations are required and can be made on Clementine's website HERE.
Holiday PM Wine Tasting
Usher in the holiday season with Clementine’s Holiday Wine Tasting on Thursday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m. Guests can savor three holiday wines paired with hors d’oeuvres. Bottles from the tasting are available for purchase the following week - perfect for upcoming celebrations.
Tickets are $35 per person, payable at the event. Space is limited, and reservations are required. Guests wishing to continue the evening are invited to stay for dinner. Reservations can be secured via OpenTable HERE.
Spooky Good Deal Halloween Feed Me Dinner
San Antonians are invited to celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 31, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Spooky Good Deal, Feed Me prix-fixe dinner. Curated by owners John and Elise Russ, this one-night-only experience features an off-menu four-course meal with four options per course - all for $59 per person. Perfect for families, couples and friends, it’s a festive way to kick off or cap off Halloween night.
The exclusive menu is available only on Halloween, promising a memorable and flavorful evening for all ages. Seats are limited, and reservations are encouraged to secure a spot via OpenTable HERE.
Culinary Student Pumpkin Carving Contest
St. Philip’s College Culinary Program students have the chance to showcase their creativity in a pumpkin carving contest at Clementine on Friday, October 31. Students interested in entering the contest can email hello@clementine-sa.com.
Pumpkin entries must be carved and painted in advance. No props may be used, and all entries must be family-friendly. On Halloween day, students may drop off their pumpkins at Clementine between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Guests attending Clementine’s Halloween dinner will vote on the best pumpkin. Winners, announced November 1, will receive two tickets to Clementine’s Day of the Dead Dinner, a Feed Me dinner for two, or Clementine swag and a $50 gift card. Three winners will be chosen in the best overall, scariest and staff favorite categories.

About Clementine
Opened in 2018 in the Castle Hills community of San Antonio, Clementine is a family-owned neighborhood restaurant serving seasonal, innovative eats in a modern and lively atmosphere.
